Production Operator III

About the role

The Production Operator III is an advanced manufacturing professional responsible for operating, setting up, troubleshooting, and optimizing threading, bending, and fabrication equipment. This position serves as a technical resource within the production department, ensuring product quality, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and mentoring Production Operator I and II employees. The Production Operator III demonstrates advanced knowledge of RMC products, manufacturing processes, and equipment while helping achieve production, quality, and safety objectives.

Responsibilities

• Operate, set up, troubleshoot, and optimize threading, bending, and fabrication equipment
• Serve as a technical resource within the production department
• Ensure product quality and support continuous improvement initiatives
• Mentor Production Operator I and II employees
• Apply advanced knowledge of RMC products, manufacturing processes, and equipment to achieve production, quality, and safety objectives

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of manufacturing, fabrication, or machine operation experience preferred
• Advanced knowledge of threading, bending, fabrication, and related manufacturing equipment
• Strong ability to troubleshoot production and equipment issues
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and precision measuring devices
• Excellent communication, organizational, and mentoring skills
• Forklift certification or ability to maintain certification preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement
• Bilingual in English and Spanish

Preferred skills

• Threading and bending experience (major plus)
• Experience with machine setups, tooling changes, and troubleshooting
• Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools
• Strong safety, quality, and leadership skills
• Comfortable training and mentoring less-experienced operators
• Forklift experience or ability to become certified
