Role
The Production Operator -- 2nd Shift role requires mechanical and/or electrical aptitude, a strong work ethic, and a serious career opportunity. Responsibilities include:
- Able to read, understand, and interpret BOMs, drawings, schematics, work instructions, and specifications to complete assignments without supervision.
- Select and prepare materials, tools, and equipment necessary to complete tasks.
- Obtain all necessary parts, materials, and assemble sub-assemblies as required.
- Install and verify the correct installation of auxiliary devices.
- Complete sub-assembly of door handle, latch plate, door rods, and other parts as required.
- Perform torque marking on all bolted connections.
- Prepare units for painting, including cover prep and prime.
- Identify and report oil leaks, showing them to leak repair welders.
- Perform repairs, both inside and outside the tank.
- Operate all lifting devices as needed to move units and products to and from the work area.
- Finish units for shipment.
- Maintain quality and production records.
Requirements
- Basic: Ability to work evening or night shift, able to work over-time as needed, resides or plans to reside within reasonable commuting distance (no relocation assistance available).
- Internal candidates: bid process per CBA.
- External candidates: must successfully complete application, talent assessment, drug & background screening.
- Safety Sensitive Position: drug screen includes THC.
- Preferred: High School Diploma or Equivalent, two years prior manufacturing experience, ACT WorkKeys National Career Readiness Certification (NCRC): Platinum or Gold Level.
