About the role

Under limited supervision, the Machine Operator 5 works independently and uses judgement to fabricate material using equipment with a high degree of complexity and computerized controls.

Responsibilities

• Reads and interprets blueprints and diagrams
• Operates a variety of equipment involved in daily manufacturing processes, including robotic, computer-controlled, automatic, or semi-automatic machines
• Performs computer downloads containing specifications that direct the machine to operate efficiently

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Ability to use judgement in fabrication of material
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and diagrams
• Experience operating robotic, computer-controlled, automatic, or semi-automatic machines
• Ability to perform computer downloads containing machine specifications
