Stryten Energy operates a growing battery manufacturing factory. Through the GNB Industrial Power division, we produce batteries, services, and solutions for the Motive and Network Power industries.

About the role

We are looking for qualified candidates to fill pasting, assembly, heat seal, and formation operator positions in our production departments. Successful candidates must have mechanical ability and accurate math and measurement skills. You will control the output of various machines to produce quality parts within required specifications, meet or exceed daily production quantity goals, and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction. Candidates should thrive in a team-based manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform first piece inspection during the first hour of the day at your assigned station.
  • Understand and communicate with all employees to receive training and perform responsibilities.
  • Work with the line team to meet daily production goals.
  • Record hourly production on the tracking board in the Pasting department.
  • Perform weekly preventive maintenance on machines.
  • Meet daily production schedules.
  • Follow quality control specifications and procedures; maintain accurate and timely SPC charts.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Perform testing as required.
  • Occasionally operate a forklift to stage at pasting stations or move pasted plates to ovens.
  • Follow Excel Lean Manufacturing Procedures.
  • Comply with current Quality Systems Requirements (SQPC pack).
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Certification to perform specific functions in the pasting department.
  • Exposure to lead (dust, fumes, and molten form) and other hazards; compliance with safety and health regulations, including showering and shampooing at the end of each shift.
  • Continuous standing, lifting, bending, and twisting.
  • Occasional work in extreme environmental conditions (hot, cold, humid).
  • Must wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, respirators, safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, and hearing protection as outlined in department PPE policy.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting.

Qualifications

  • High School Graduate or GED equivalent.
  • Mechanical aptitude required.
  • Previous manufacturing experience helpful.
  • Computer literate.

Schedule
