Production Operator

About the role

As a Production Operator at IFF, you will control or operate machinery or equipment to assist with manufacturing, packaging, and other steps along a production line. This role is based in North PA on the day shift.

Responsibilities

• Compound as required by production demand by following shop floor instructions precisely.
• Responsible for the safe operation of forklifts and all material handling equipment within the work area.
• Maintain a safe working environment, utilize appropriate safety equipment, and proactively improve the safety culture of the department.
• Maintain processing area and equipment in a clean, sanitary, and presentable condition; adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices and exemplary housekeeping standards.
• Work as part of a team to solve problems, develop procedures, and recommend improvements.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including supporting other departments as needed.

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Ability to wear a respirator.
• Ability to operate a forklift and other equipment.
• Ability to work around heavy machinery and electrical currents.
• Ability to stand for 8 hours per day.
• Ability to handle 200 kg drums and 50 kg bags.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Basic math, reading, and computer skills.
• Experience with SAP, Camelot, and Marco.
• Ability to multitask.
• Fluency in English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior chemical process manufacturing experience.
