About the role
We have a position for a Liquid Compounding Chemical Operator (Production Operator) on Third Shift (11:30 PM – 7:30 AM) in South Brunswick. You will operate machinery to assist with manufacturing, packaging, and other steps along a production line, including handling heavy machinery, packaging and filtering finished goods, replenishing raw material inventory, and performing chemical blending in production.
Responsibilities
- Compound as required by production demand by following shop floor instructions precisely.
- Responsible for the safe operation of forklifts and all material handling equipment within the work area.
- Maintain a safe working environment, utilize appropriate safety equipment, and proactively improve the safety culture of the department.
- Maintain processing area and equipment in a clean, sanitary, and presentable condition; adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices and exemplary housekeeping standards.
- Work as part of a team to solve problems, develop procedures, and recommend improvements.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including supporting other departments as needed.
- Manually dispense flavor chemicals and combine them with automatically dispensed materials.
Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Ability to wear a respirator.
- Ability to operate a forklift and other equipment.
- Ability to be exposed to heavy machinery and electrical currents.
- Ability to stand for 8 hours per day.
- Ability to handle 200 kg drums and 50 kg bags.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Basic math, reading, and computer skills.
- Experience with SAP, Camelot, and Marco systems.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Fluency in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior chemical process manufacturing experience.
