Production Operator

About the Role

Hamilton Company is seeking Production Operators to assemble precision medical and laboratory devices. We are looking for individuals with the ability to work accurately and follow schematics and instructions precisely. This position requires excellent manual dexterity and the ability to work with small components and hand tools in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine production duties and preventative maintenance
• Adhere to product quality standards and procedures
• Assemble laboratory devices or operate machinery in a production environment
• Interact effectively with all support groups and fellow employees
• Use hand tools, tweezers, and other light machinery to assemble equipment according to blueprints and schematics
• Perform quality checks on finished products and send unsatisfactory items to rework
• Follow detailed manufacturing instructions and process guidelines
• Maintain excellent hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, and high efficiency

Requirements

• Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced assembly environment to meet quality and quantity quotas
• Experience using diagrams or blueprints and following written or verbal instructions
• Mechanically inclined with good dexterity—able to use both hand and power tools
• Proven experience with safe production practices
• Stable work history
• Basic math skills for computing quantities and simple addition/subtraction for counting parts
• Excellent manual dexterity, ability to work with small components, and a keen eye for detail and quality
• Ability to read and follow detailed manufacturing instructions

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Technical Certificate and/or LEAP or CTE Program completion preferred
• Prior technician experience preferred
