Production Operator

About the role

As a Production Operator at General Mills’ Hannibal, MO manufacturing site, you will support production packaging and processing operations, sanitation, and participate in startup, changeover, and shutdown of operating equipment.

Responsibilities

• Create high-quality foods consumed nationwide every day
• Work with experienced teams to learn from seasoned operators
• Troubleshoot machinery issues and collaborate with maintenance staff
• Calibrate processing and packaging systems daily
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
• Train new employees

Requirements

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED
• At least 2 years of work experience in a manufacturing/production environment
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks for extended periods
• Physical ability to work in various environmental conditions including hot, cold, noisy, dusty, and wet environments
• Willingness to work around industrial machinery and adhere to food manufacturing standards

Pay and Schedule

• $19.00 per hour to start
• Up to $21.34 per hour after 3 months of employment (based on completion of training)
• Up to $27.81 per hour after 1 year of employment (based on completion of training)
• Additional $1.00 per hour for hours worked on off-shifts
