GAF is constructing its newest shingle manufacturing facility in Newton, KS, creating new opportunities for growth and development. The company is hiring for an initial plant leadership team and is offering extensive training and development opportunities. Employees will have the chance to travel to other locations, engage with peers, and support the hiring of plant staff.
Job Summary
The Production Operator I role requires a dependable self-starter with a desire to grow and succeed. This position oversees the operation of processing equipment and processes, makes routine tests, and ensures the completion of production processes. Key responsibilities include maintaining accurate production records, material handling, printing labels, labeling buckets, operating forklifts, and palletizers.
Qualifications
- H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- High school diploma or GED is required
- 0-2 years related manufacturing experience
- Production Operations/Manufacturing experience
- Paint/Coating batch processing experience
