PRODUCTION OPERATOR

Duties And Responsibilities

1. Performs quality inspection to ensure that linen meets the customer's quality specifications.
2. Places clean and inspected linen into designated cart/bin.
3. Places linen that has been rejected due to quality or linen that has damage in the appropriate bag to return to the hotel.
4. Fills out label detailing product content of bin by hotel, linen specification, and confirmation of quality inspection.
5. Notifies the supervisor of any issues with the quality of the linen to ensure proper handling.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.
• 3 months or more related experience in a commercial laundry or hotel industry.
• Ability to understand, comprehend, and follow simple instructions, short correspondence, and product labeling.
• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to meet required performance goals and objectives.
• Able to work in a team environment and alone.
• Good communications, both orally and written in English.
• Must have good attention to detail.

Applicable Working Conditions

• Inside work: protected from weather conditions
• Outside work: no effective protection from weather
• Both inside and outside work: activities occur both inside and outside an office enclosure
• Extreme cold: below 32 degrees for periods of more than 1 hour throughout the normal course of a day
• Extreme heat: above 100 degrees for periods of more than 1 hour throughout the normal course of a day
• Noise: employees must shout to be heard over ambient noise level (hearing protection required)
• Vibration: exposure to oscillating movements of extremities or whole body
• Potential hazards: moving parts, electricity, gas, scaffolding, chemicals, etc.
• Terminal viewing: extended viewing of screens
• Atmospheric conditions (in non-confined spaces): fumes, odors, mists, gases, poor ventilation, etc.
• Oils: air and/or skin exposure to oils and other cutting fluids
• Respirator: use of a respirator is required
• Physical stamina: due to emergency or workload demands, subject to extended work hours requiring stamina beyond normal demands or levels
• None: employee is NOT substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (work occurs in typical indoors, office or administrative environment)
