Production Operator
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate vision inspection and measurement systems during production
- Load and position parts for automated measurement and inspection
- Maintain inspection records and production documentation
- Follow quality procedures, safety standards, and work instructions
- Assist with setup and changeovers for different part types
- Keep work area clean and organized
- Perform routine system checks, calibration verification, and basic troubleshooting
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in manufacturing, quality inspection, or machine operation preferred
- Basic understanding of dimensional measurement and inspection processes
- Ability to read blueprints, drawings, or measurement specifications preferred
- Familiarity with vision systems, cameras, or automated inspection equipment is a plus
Skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting
- Experience using calipers, micrometers, or other measuring tools
- Knowledge of manufacturing quality standards
Working Conditions
- Manufacturing or machine shop environment requires prolonged standing, lifting, and use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Lift materials up to 50 lbs.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
