Production Operator

About the role

Under the direction of the Production Supervisor, the Production Operator operates Injection or stretch blow molding presses to produce work-in-process and finished goods according to customer/stock specifications. Performs quality checks according to the production order/customer specification.

Responsibilities

• Set-up, operate and adjust stretch-blow molding machines for production.
• Perform color changes and appropriate line clearance procedures when needed.
• Perform all tasks necessary to operate presses according to procedure.
• Actively communicate with coworkers on safety, quality, maintenance, production and continuous improvement.
• Follow work instructions; may write, revise and train others to those instructions.
• Perform root cause analysis when problems arise to determine immediate actions or escalation.
• Maintain 5S environment in work area.
• Sweep debris from work area and machinery.
• Lift up to 40 pounds and move up to 200 pounds.
• Adhere to plant and corporate safety policies.
• Assist in other areas or perform other duties as required by business needs.
• Work overtime as required.

Pay

$26.15/hr with a $2.00/hr shift differential for off-shift work.
