Production Operator

About the Role

This position involves the manufacture and packaging of pre-mixed assay and refining fluxes for sale to the mining and commercial assay laboratory markets.

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is a plus
• Forklift experience required
• 1-3 years warehouse and/or manufacturing experience is preferred
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic mathematical skills are a must

Responsibilities

• Composes and affixes product labels to products
• Operates forklift, hand truck, and pallet jack for the safe loading of flux components into the mixer(s) and the safe placement and maneuvering of products within the flux farm area and/or other areas of the main warehouse for shipment
• Ventilation System Operation: Utilizes ventilation system for the loading and dispensing of product from the flux mixers. Operates compressor for daily blow-down and periodic dumping of particulate collected in the bag house for recirculation into the flux manufacturing circuit
• Mixer Loading and Mixing Operation, as per batch sheet instructions
• Prepares packaging
• Mixer unloading – dispensing
• Palletize and Inventory
• General Warehousing Tasks
• Reports security and/or health and safety infractions or potential infractions in a timely manner and to the appropriate contacts
• Performs other related tasks that his/her supervisor deems necessary for the efficient operation of the department

• Exposure to an industrial warehouse environment
• Works near moving mechanical machinery; noise level is usually loud
• Requires working in heights, exposure to changes in temperature, driving equipment, and may be exposed to dust, fumes, or gases
• Required to stand and walk for the majority of the working day
• Must be able to talk, hear, bend/stooop, squat, crawl, climb height, reach above shoulder height, crouch, kneel, balance, and push/pull
• Lift/carry/push or pull up to 75 pounds with or without assistance
• Use both hands for repetitive actions such as grasping and manipulating, and both feet for repetitive movement operating foot controls
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
