Production Operator

About the role

Ashland has an exciting opportunity for a Chemical Operator to join our Specialty Ingredients G.P Business at our Wilmington, DE location. This position will report to the Plant Manager.

Responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with all health, safety, environmental procedures and guidelines
• Receive materials into the limited access warehouse (LAW) per the appropriate procedures
• Prepare for production, including raw material staging and weighing
• Perform all manufacturing duties per the associated work instruction, including set-up, operation, and cleaning of manufacturing equipment
• Perform all necessary SAP transactions
• Package final product and prepare shipments
• Complete all GMP documentation
• General housekeeping in the GMP production area

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Willing to work rotating shifts, holidays, and overtime as required (this is a rotating shift position)
• Demonstrates good interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
• Ability to lift 55 lbs on a regular basis
• High level of mechanical aptitude
• Ability to clearly record observations in written form
• Ability to follow and complete written directions
• Must be able to work around strong magnets

Preferred Qualifications

• GMP or Chemical Manufacturing experience
• Forklift experience
• General computer experience
