Production Operator

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

• Maintain setup and operate automatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production / processing operation.
• Monitor meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, and related controls and guidelines to ensure adherence to production / process specifications.
• Schedule: 12 Hour Nights 5p-5a, 2-3-2 schedule.
• Prioritize health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and maintaining safe practices at all times.
• Operate, test, and monitor assigned equipment according to established organizational guidelines.
• Observe and conduct the operation of equipment and document maintenance needs.
• Report any malfunctions or abnormalities; make minor adjustments and repairs to equipment as needed.
• Troubleshoot control panels, error lights, and messages to ensure proper equipment function.
• Communicate with equipment technicians relating to highly complex equipment issues as needed.
• Verify equipment data for reporting; support and assist with the installation of operating equipment.
• Take on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization.

Requirements

• High-school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Vocational / technical degree (preferred)
• 1+ years of relevant experience (preferred)

Qualifications

• Must be able to work nights.

• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Good communication skills.
