About the Role

Under the direction of the Team Leader, set up and operate presses to produce product to customer specifications, meeting delivery requirements and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate presses to produce products according to customer specifications.
• Ensure products meet or exceed quality standards.
• Meet delivery requirements.
• Operate a slitter machine, forklift truck, hand trucks, hoist, hand jacks, and a variety of small hand tools.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent education.
• Three to twelve months of related experience to become familiar with equipment and processes.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
• Basic mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to stand.
• Frequently required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects, tools, or controls; reach above shoulders; and talk or hear.
• Occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; taste or smell; and use foot/feet to operate machines.
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 200 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
