Responsibilities
- Apply and remove all masking and plugging materials to customer product in a safe, productive manner in accordance with customer requirements.
- Perform masking methods based on customer product specifications.
- Prepare raw material for masking, including hand wiping and blowing out holes.
- Reference blueprints to accurately assess masking requirements specified on print.
- Monitor inventory levels and request supplies and materials to meet production requirements.
- Assist in the inspection of product and notify the Team Leader/Supervisor of any non-conformances.
- Record masking details on the job ticket and any necessary information on the work order.
- Package parts to safely transport to production areas.
- Accurately complete necessary forms and adhere to scheduling due dates.
- Work safely at all times and comply with all safety regulations while working with hazardous materials and chemicals.
- Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and organized manner.
- Work with a positive attitude and report all questions or problems to the Team Leader or Supervisor.
- Perform other miscellaneous job duties and related functions as needed.
Work Environment
- Exposure to sharp parts, sharp tooling, and heavy carts.
- Occasional hot and cold temperature and humidity levels, heat from ovens, moderate noise levels.
- Limited hand and air tool use, compressed air (hearing protection required).
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
- Must be able to differentiate between color variance.
- Potential splash exposure near process lines.
- Repetitive responsibilities.
- Various chemicals used in process.
Qualifications
- High-school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and write English on documents such as work orders, safety instructions, and part dispositions.
- Ability to speak English sufficiently for effective communication in emergencies and cooperation with teammates.
