Production Manager (Value Stream Manager)

About the role

The Gund Company, a leader in engineered material solutions, is seeking a Production Manager (Value Stream Manager) to oversee the Order Fulfillment Process and manage production operations. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in a technical field and four years of management experience, with at least two years in the manufacturing industry. Key responsibilities include leading teams, managing operations, and ensuring quality standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Order Fulfillment Process from quoting through shipping and invoicing
• Develop and perform plant personnel in assigned market
• Direct and coordinate all production operations through team leads, production, and customer service personnel
• Manage assembly operations, machining operations, processing, treating, packaging, and shipping
• Lead and influence people and teams (up to 10-15 direct reports)
• Communicate effectively and professionally both verbally and in writing
• Show excellent math skills and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Be technically competent and able to provide clear direction
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in technical field and four years of experience in management, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum of two years of experience in the manufacturing industry
• Knowledge of Quality Concepts (SPC, TQM, JIT) and Quality Systems (ISO 9000, Six Sigma, Zero Defects) is preferred
