About the Role
Oversee and drive the daily donation and production operation of the store to meet or exceed budget while complying with company standards, policies, and procedures. Lead the backroom production team to ensure donations flow efficiently from the donation door to the sales floor in a safe, clean, and organized environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise production employees to meet daily production goals (minimum 110 garments per hour with a 90% quality standard).
- Maintain backroom workflow to maximize production and ensure donations are processed to maximize sales and minimize waste.
- Monitor waste output to prevent discard of sellable merchandise.
- Conduct quality checks on merchandise before placement on the sales floor.
- Perform textile rack checks to ensure accuracy of piece count reported.
- Monitor and order backroom supplies as needed.
- Communicate daily needs with the transportation department and District Managers.
- Ensure donations are processed expediently from the donation door to the sales floor.
- Maintain safe and appropriate conditions in backroom areas.
- Create and post schedules to meet production goals while ensuring compliance with personnel and safety policies.
- Operate the cash register for sales, payments, voids, returns, exchanges, and credits in emergencies.
- Assist the Store Manager in achieving sales goals and implementing contingency plans if goals are not met.
- Provide corrective coaching, training, and development for production employees and document all efforts.
- Schedule employees to ensure adequate coverage for processing donations on the day they are received.
- Perform duties of store production personnel, including donation receiving, sorting, hanging, pricing, and cleaning.
- Maintain store cleanliness and safety by vacuuming, mopping, dusting, sweeping, emptying trash, and cleaning bathrooms.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Leadership, team building, mentoring, or training experience preferred.
- Background in leading teams in retail sales, production, manufacturing, or assembly is a plus.
- Reliable transportation and ability to pass an MVR check.
- Valid driver’s license, liability insurance, vehicle registration, and current vehicle inspection sticker.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), Power BI, and other computer programs.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English.

- Function in a fast-paced environment with occasional high-volume periods.
- Knowledge of brands and value of clothes, furniture, and household items.
Working Conditions
Frequent physical exertion and movement, exposure to donated goods and materials, conditioned indoor temperatures with occasional outdoor exposure, and occasional travel within the district area.
