Production Manager - Nights

About the role

Leads, oversees, and manages production, projects, and supervisors. Executes material flow and improvements along with other day-to-day operational processes, with a high emphasis on production schedule delivery.

Responsibilities

• Attend all scheduled daily production management meetings
• Support issue resolution and follow up on corrective actions
• Assist the Plant Manager in day-to-day operational activities
• Handle production planning and scheduling
• Support business KPIs and continuous improvement (Andons, recuts, on-time performance, labor goals, etc.)
• Identify, request, and approve tools and shop supplies
• Support supervisors on workforce engagement and shop floor policies
• Maintain production organization, safety, and 5S standards
• Manage overtime and labor cost/scrap reduction
• Ensure product quality by engaging with the quality department to meet customer and internal requirements
• Assure corrective actions and root cause analysis are executed
• Coordinate production scheduling for all shifts and material handling support
• Coordinate scheduling with tank production; oversee heavy material handling, inventory issues, storage of finished goods, and customer product

Requirements

• Minimum High School Diploma
• Ability to read blueprints
• Ability to motivate and guide a team to operational success
• Solution-driven with the ability to provide support overcoming operational constraints
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide and support positive reinforcement within the workforce
• Leadership and project management skills
• 3 or more years of manufacturing leadership experience
