Production Manager (Mitsubishi Chemical Advanced Materials)
About the role
Mitsubishi Chemical Advanced Materials is seeking a Production Manager to lead manufacturing operations at our Reading, PA facility. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for driving safety, quality, operational performance, and long-term profitability while ensuring an exceptional customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily manufacturing operations with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency
- Provide leadership and direction to supervisors, engineers, technicians, and production staff
- Develop and execute operational plans that support business objectives and profitability
- Partner with Sales and Scheduling to align production with customer demand
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across safety, quality, cost, and delivery
- Identify process improvement opportunities and lead troubleshooting of quality and production issues
- Champion safety initiatives, housekeeping standards, and 5S practices
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and operational standards
- Establish and communicate performance metrics to monitor and improve operational effectiveness
- Lead and support projects that enhance capacity, efficiency, and overall manufacturing performance
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing leadership or management
- Strong leadership experience managing teams in a production environment
- Background in plastics or related manufacturing industries preferred
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization
- Proven ability to drive results through problem solving and decision making
- Solid understanding of industrial equipment and mechanical systems
- Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office tools
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Pay
The salary range for this position is $103,400-129,300. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
