Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure a safe working environment and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Manage production load and scheduling to meet deadlines while maintaining quality and efficiency.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives to boost productivity and minimize waste.
  • Oversee labor across 1st and 2nd shifts, as well as material and equipment usage to meet production goals cost-effectively.
  • Cook up manufacturing orders throughout the facility.
  • Motivate, coach, and develop team members to achieve performance targets and maintain a positive work culture.
  • Define, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Collaborate with Production Control, Sales, Quality, and other department leaders to set priorities and communicate order status.
  • Plan for future production needs, including capacity and resource forecasting.
  • Champion innovation and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Apply technical expertise in CNC machining to troubleshoot issues and maintain equipment.
  • Serve as second-in-command to the Plant Manager, escalating issues and supporting plant-wide operations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and data integrity within the ERP manufacturing system.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in CNC machining, fabrication, and operations management.
  • Minimum 7 years in production planning and resource management, preferably in CNC and contract manufacturing.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in people management.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and process improvement methodologies.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for reporting and documentation.
  • Self-motivated with strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Able to drive cross-functional collaboration across sales, engineering, and production teams.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $77,680-$116,520. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
