About the role

The Production Manager - Large Batch is responsible for leading the manufacturing process of Large Batch towards meeting corporate objectives in productivity, employee health and safety, budgeting, cost containment, and quality.

Responsibilities

• Organize and schedule the Large Batch Department's activities based on sales requirements and plant capacity, including manpower.
• Work with the Production Manager and Director of Liquid Operations on cost control of repair and operating supplies, waste generation, labor costs, and other assigned areas.
• Monitor critical department Key Performance Indicators (KPI).
• Train new operators on Large Batch operations and conduct regular training for existing employees to ensure growth.
• Conduct training to comply with safety regulations.
• Champion safety and housekeeping initiatives and communicate them to all employees.
• Monitor quality of products produced to ensure adherence to company standards.
• Ensure adherence to safety rules by all direct reports, promote safe work practices, coach, and provide necessary safety training in addition to corporate safety training.
• Stop and report any safety violations observed throughout the facility.
• Utilize the Business Operating System to report operations completed, materials issued, and other related transactions.
• Interview, hire, and terminate employees as necessary.
• Conduct performance reviews on a semi-annual basis.
• Participate in quality system audits for compliance with ISO and quality standards.
• Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Preferred education level: Associate's or two-year college degree or equivalent.
• Preferred experience level: Three or more years in a related manufacturing environment.

Pay

$70,000 - $90,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
