About the role
Responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the production department. This includes prioritizing and preparing production schedules, communicating production goals, analyzing equipment efficiency, materials supply, and coordinating manpower requirements.
Responsibilities
- Maintain quality control of product.
- Manage, train, and supervise department supervisors, shift leads, and production personnel.
- Collect, verify, and report daily/weekly/monthly production data.
- Schedule production and indirect personnel as directed by the Plant Manager.
- Track and report vacation/attendance with Operations Coordinator.
- Acquire and report daily/weekly/monthly environmental data (water/air quality).
- Create, maintain, and convey production and inventory reports to management and sales departments.
- Oversee corrective action policies, employee performance evaluations, and training schedules.
- Recruit and evaluate potential employees.
- Maintain plant-wide parts, equipment, and expendables inventory tracking.
- Ensure appropriate inventory levels for efficient facility operation.
- Oversee implementation of quality control SOP policies and PFI Standards Program.
- Ensure safe operation of the facility and coordinate the Lignetics Safety Program, including all reporting requirements for Lignetics, OSHA, and state/federal regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of related supervisory experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- “Roll up your sleeves” approach with strong analytical and forward-thinking skills.
- Medium degree of technical and analytical skills, including ability to perform simple to complex math calculations.
- Ability to work in high-temperature and high-humidity areas.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to generate Standard Operating Procedures.
- Ability to work unsupervised.
- Flexibility to work some nights and weekends as required.
- Willingness to be on call 24/7.
