Production Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple crew associates focusing on the maintenance operation.
• Manage all landscape enhancement services, including coordination of materials, people, equipment, and subcontractors to produce quality work.
• Monitor work habits and coach employees to achieve high productivity standards, safety compliance, and policy adherence.
• Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety and maintains a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
• Inspect properties prior to scheduled service to prepare a specific action plan for the requested service.
• Assume responsibility for on-site training, skill development, and classroom instruction for new and current employees.
• Review production hours daily, submit necessary adjustments, and complete all records and reports accurately and on time.
• Monitor production hours, forecast and allocate labor, and communicate work instructions to crews.
• Utilize tools and resources to schedule work for crews and ensure it stays on track, making adjustments as needed.
• Visit sites regularly and attend customer meetings to ensure quality matches the scope of work.
• Partner with the Sales team to ensure speed, simplicity, and confidence for clients by communicating needs and requests.
• Take ownership of equipment repairs by partnering with the Mechanics Team to ensure timely and appropriate maintenance.
• Recommend new processes and procedures to improve operations, work environment, safety, productivity, profitability, and customer service.
• Assume responsibility for operational goals, ensuring all jobs are completed to client expectations and within allotted hours.
• Assess operational needs by purchasing and locating job-related materials, ensuring proper equipment is on site, and monitoring cost and safety compliance.
• Coach, groom, and mentor direct reports to prepare them for future growth opportunities within the organization.
• Review and approve time off for employees.
• Engage in the interview and selection process for new crew members.
• Make informed decisions about horticultural best practices and answer questions about weeds and plant identification.

Requirements

• Bilingual (preferred).
• High School Diploma or equivalent; prior related work experience required.
• Valid Driver’s License—must meet insurance underwriting requirements.
• Knowledge of Spanish is a plus.
