About the Role

As our Production Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management of all production departments and activities in the factory to ensure acceptable safety, housekeeping, quality, productivity, employee conduct, and performance criteria are achieved. You will apply a continuous improvement methodology throughout your scope of responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside the Director of Manufacturing Operations to achieve budgeted Revenue, EBITDA, and Operating Income goals.
• Collaborate with the Director to establish a strategy impacting Revenue & EBITDA by focusing on efficient scheduling and planning, improved On-Time Delivery (OTD) & Yields, contract review, reduction/elimination of RMAs & CARs, reduced inventory adjustments, and reduced labor variance and material scrap.
• Communicate KPIs regularly to your team and other departments (make visible).
• Lead the strategic direction of the production team.
• Maintain a safe work environment throughout production operations.
• Maintain excellent employee relations, keeping staff informed of changes and engaged to drive low turnover; identify and execute staff development plans.
• Mentor and lead Production Supervisors, Production Leads, and other direct reports to grow and develop a highly effective team of professional leaders.
• Assist with personnel decisions including hiring, terminations, wage decisions, and promotions.
• Supervise, train, and develop the Production team.
• Maintain organization of the production floor, including Work-In-Progress (WIP), Safety, and 5S.
• Meet customer delivery and quality commitments and be responsive to customer needs.
• Maintain AS9100, ISO 9001, and ITAR standards for the facility.
• Empower the production workforce to solve issues through the Tiered meeting structure.
• Work with all Production support functions to resolve production-related issues.
• Partner with the Director of Manufacturing Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Customer Service, and Sales to ensure all production orders are properly executed, from receiving parts to shipping.
• Work with management, engineering, sales, employees, vendors, and customers to positively impact the organization.
• Collaborate closely with purchasing and engineering departments to maintain schedules and implement changes and revisions in operational procedures.
• Set a strategy within your team to achieve or exceed desired results.
• Review production methods, workstations, practices, and procedures to improve department efficiency.
• Define, select, and allocate resources (people, materials, and machinery) to meet objectives.
• Lead and promote Continuous Improvement events and activities.
• Identify knowledge gaps and provide or propose required training to improve performance.
• Define, modify, or improve product flow to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
• Focus on driving Safety, quality, and productivity.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 5 or more years of management experience in a manufacturing/assembly environment.
• 5 or more years of leadership experience with direct reports.
• Strong communication and organizational skills to support process, manufacturing, and design engineering functions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to share knowledge at appropriate levels of the organization.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $90,000 - $120,000 per year, plus incentive compensation. Exact salary will be contingent upon your experience, education, skills, and other relevant factors.
