Location and Work Arrangement
This position is based in Newark, California and is onsite.
About the Role
The Production Manager leads, manages, and develops the Production team; drives improvements to the Production process to meet quality, on-time delivery, and health & safety standards and objectives; and provides support and direction on all operational issues. Reports to the Executive Vice President.
Responsibilities
- Achieve the weekly and monthly build plans by identifying bottlenecks and addressing availability, yield, and efficiency issues cross-functionally.
- Offer precise, validated, and timely production data analysis to support labor quotation; proactively resolve issues related to quotations and address concerns regarding labor quotations.
- Maintain a culture of adherence to standardized work and compliance with documented processes and procedures to ensure safe practices and build products to quality-sustained specifications.
- Work cross-functionally to implement process changes, new product introductions, improvement projects, and ensure corrective actions expeditiously.
- Assess project and resource requirements and assign tasks and objectives through delegation, adhering to established processes to achieve the unit's goals.
- Oversee and improve production processes and address production issues.
- Create and uphold performance metrics, assess employee performance, and suggest appropriate compensation and disciplinary actions as needed.
- Organize relevant training sessions for new hires, develop work instructions, and conduct on-the-job and other types of training.
- Build a high-performance team, set clear expectations, and manage their performance effectively.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in a supervisory or management role in the EMS industry (PCBA, Box build, and/or conformal coating).
- Good technical understanding of processes, equipment, bottlenecks, and line balancing to work with Engineering and Maintenance teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio. PLM is a plus.
- Good understanding of ISO systems is a plus.
Pay
$95,000 to $132,000 per year.
