Trueline's client, a rapidly growing manufacturer supporting infrastructure and construction projects, is seeking a Production Manager to join its team in the Greater Canton area. This hands-on leadership role will oversee daily production, support an experienced workforce, and help the operation maintain strong standards for safety, quality, and output during a period of significant growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate daily production activities within a precast manufacturing facility.
- Keep production workflows aligned with schedules, quality expectations, and customer commitments.
- Supervise, train, and motivate employees in manufacturing procedures, safe work practices, and equipment operation.
- Monitor production progress, troubleshoot problems, and remove barriers that could affect deadlines.
- Oversee the safe use of forklifts, cranes, and other heavy material-handling equipment.
- Conduct routine safety inspections and address hazards or compliance concerns promptly.
- Reinforce OSHA requirements, company safety procedures, and proper PPE use.
- Coordinate raw material and finished-product inventory with forklift and material-handling employees.
- Maintain accurate production reports, shift logs, incident documentation, and related records.
- Partner with plant leadership to improve productivity, accountability, and operational consistency.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of supervisory or management experience in manufacturing, construction, or a related industrial environment.
- Experience leading employees in a hands-on production setting.
- Experience working around or operating forklifts.
- Experience with large-load, overhead, bridge, or gantry cranes.
- Familiarity with heavy manufacturing or concrete-related production.
- Strong understanding of workplace safety and the ability to enforce procedures consistently.
- Ability to organize production priorities, solve problems, and keep work on schedule.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to work a schedule generally beginning at 6:00 a.m. and continuing through approximately 4:00 p.m.
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds with or without assistance.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and work on your feet for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct precast concrete manufacturing experience.
- Working knowledge of concrete production processes.
- Associate degree or relevant technical education.
- Experience managing inventory, production reporting, and continuous-improvement efforts.
- Experience helping a growing manufacturer introduce stronger processes and accountability.
- Familiarity with OSHA requirements in a heavy industrial or construction environment.
