About the role
The Production Manager ensures that production goals and product quality are met according to SPC standards.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate previous daily production and machine operating conditions.
- Direct and plan daily work schedule incorporating equipment preventative maintenance.
- Comply and ensure personnel are following safety policies and company procedures.
- Verify production paperwork for accuracy and completion in a timely manner.
- Coordinate and evaluate production scheduling based on sales projections to ensure there is an adequate inventory of supplies and staffing to meet production goals.
- Provide leadership and training to subordinates to promote continual growth in job, skill, and knowledge.
- Monitor product quality on a routine basis to ensure the finished product meets/exceeds NSF, ASTM, and UL standards.
- Evaluate plant operations to ensure maximum efficiency, minimize production down time, and scrap goal levels are achieved.
- Process formulation tests to ensure a cost-efficient quality product allows Sanderson Pipe to be competitive in the sales market.
- Responsible for preparing and conducting performance reviews for production supervisors in a timely manner.
- Promote a discrimination-free workplace and good morale among personnel to encourage a teamwork environment.
- Order supplies for the department.
- Generate Scrap Summary Reports.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Facility Plant Manager.
