About the role
The Production Manager will drive process improvements on the production floor, applying Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, single-piece flow, and other established manufacturing principles to boost efficiency and cut costs. You will establish warehouse policies and procedures that keep all departments operating at peak performance.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations (Receiving, Production, Shipping).
- Lead and coach production departments and team leads.
- Manage and evaluate 100+ employees and system resources to maximize productivity with minimal downtime.
- Set ambitious warehouse and team goals in collaboration with executive leadership.
- Foster an open, collaborative work environment through effective communication.
- Reduce overhead while increasing productivity across all product lines.
- Optimize staffing levels by scheduling employees across departments.
- Design workflow policies that enhance speed and efficiency without compromising quality, safety, or integrity.
- Ensure all employees follow industry-standard health and safety guidelines.
- Report problems or obstacles to senior management and work to resolve them.
- Perform other duties within the scope of responsibilities.
Requirements
- 5+ years of progressive production/warehouse leadership in a processing or manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Proven leadership in using world-class ERP and materials-management tools to optimize capacity planning, material movement, shop-floor management, and reporting.
- Hands-on mindset; willing to engage directly on the production floor.
- Strong logistics experience is a plus.
- Blend of business operations, quality, continuous improvement, process development, and program-management experience to solve dynamic problems.
- Ability to build trust with diverse stakeholders and mentor staff to achieve results.
- High professional ethics, sound judgment, and timely decision-making.
- Bilingual (English & Spanish) preferred.
