Duties And Responsibilities
- Maintain donut shop operations, including production of quality baked goods according to deadlines.
- Recruit, select, orient, train, assign, schedule, coach, counsel, and discipline employees.
- Communicate job expectations, plan, monitor, appraise, and review job contributions.
- Plan and review compensation actions, enforce company policies, procedures, standards, and processes.
- Accurately tabulate payroll for back-of-house staff.
- Estimate food costs and manage staff to achieve cost and profit goals.
- Control costs by reviewing portion control and quantities, minimizing waste, and ensuring high quality.
- Maximize restaurant profitability by ensuring portion control and monitoring accuracy of charges.
- Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy environment by establishing, following, and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures.
- Maintain ambiance by controlling lighting, background music, linen service, glassware, and utensil quality and placement; and monitoring food presentation and service.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and maintaining personal networks.
- Accept ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and explore opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Qualifications
- Open availability and reliable transportation.
- Speak fluent English and have the ability to train staff in English; other languages are highly desirable, especially Spanish (a pay differential is available for bilingual Managers).
- Demonstrate mastery of the Baker I, II, III, and Assistant Production Manager job descriptions.
- Ability to define problems and determine solutions.
- Regularly stand, walk, use hands, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk or hear, taste or smell; occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
- Peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.
