Duties And Responsibilities

  • Maintains donut shop operations, including production of quality baked goods according to deadlines.
  • Recruits, selects, trains, assigns, schedules, coaches, counsels, and disciplines employees.
  • Accurately tabulates payroll for back-of-house staff.
  • Estimates food costs and profits; adjusts and manages staff to achieve cost and profit goals.
  • Controls costs by reviewing portion control and quantities; minimizing waste; and ensuring high quality of preparation.
  • Maximizes restaurant profitability by ensuring portion control and monitoring accuracy of charges.
  • Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy environment by establishing, following, and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations; securing revenues; developing and implementing disaster plans; maintaining security and sprinkler systems; and maintaining parking lot and walkways.
  • Maintains ambiance by controlling lighting, background music, linen service, glassware, and utensil quality and placement; and monitoring food presentation and service.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; and participating in professional organizations.
  • Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

  • Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
  • Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.
