Key Responsibilities
- Staff Management and Development
- Assign tasks and manage employee schedules
- Facilitate the training of new employees and provide ongoing performance feedback
- Develop, update, and refine work instructions with support from Leads and incorporate work instructions into training programs for skill development
- Address employee concerns and resolve conflicts
- Conduct performance evaluations with support from Department and Area Leads
- Enforce company policies and take disciplinary action when necessary
- Production Oversight
- Maintain compliance with company policies and safety standards
- Monitor production lines to ensure quality standards and Takt time are met
- Ensure work is performed in accordance with standardized work, following the defined individual tasks and sequence
- Identify and address production bottlenecks or delays
- Implement and sustain continuous initiatives, including 5S
- Cookordination with other departments to ensure smooth production flow
- Leadership Development
- Work within the department to develop next generation of Area and Department Leads
- Participate in Leadership Training sessions
- Quality Control
- Investigate and resolve quality issues
- Ensure adherence to company quality standards
- Initiate and implement Corrective Actions based on feedback from Quality and other downstream operations
- Drive quality at the source mentality amongst Team
- Safety Compliance
- Enforce safety procedures and regulations
- Conduct safety training and awareness programs
- Investigate and report safety incidents
- Reporting and Analysis
- Generate production reports and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement
- Communicate production status to management
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Manufacturing Engineering, or Similar
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills
- Strong Critical Thinking skills
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality control procedures
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Relevant Experience
- Prior managerial experience in a manufacturing environment (3-5 years of experience preferred)
- Familiarity with manufacturing equipment and operations
