About the role
We are seeking a Production Manager based in Elgin, Illinois to oversee production activities, manage resources, control costs, and foster a culture of transparency, safety, quality, respect, ownership, accountability, and performance.
Responsibilities
- Understand and implement company policies, procedures, work instructions, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Conduct team meetings with area leaders and other functions to share achievements and discuss improvements.
- Support the development of the production team by providing training, coaching, and guidance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement shop floor metrics, monitor performance, drive planning, improve quality, and reduce costs.
- Maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and adjust operations to meet company goals and expectations.
- Monitor production efficiency and quality standards, and notify relevant departments of concerns regarding people, equipment, and tools.
- Support the introduction and production of new products, equipment, technologies, and product releases.
- Coordinate production activities with procurement, facilities maintenance, and quality assurance to optimize resource utilization.
- Balance staffing needs through overtime or temporary staffing as necessary.
- Plan and monitor personnel requirements for short-, mid-, and long-term processes.
- Lead and support the production equipment maintenance department to ensure optimal production capacity and minimize downtime.
- Lead root cause analysis and countermeasures to address operational abnormalities and deviations from expectations.
- Support ramp-up operations to reduce time-to-market initiatives and enhance customer support.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Engineering, or professional training
- 5+ years of experience in the relevant field or similar roles
- Excellent proficiency in English, both verbal and written

- Operations Management & Lean Management experience
- Manufacturing, Industrial, and Process engineering knowledge
- Conflict Resolution and Change Management expertise

Pay
$105,000 - $120,000 (commensurate with experience, subject to change dependent on physical location)
