Production Manager
About the Role
EQV is seeking a Production Manager with a Production Engineering background to join our Operations team. The successful candidate will work side by side with the executive team and manage field personnel to optimize oil and gas producing assets, with responsibilities spanning production surveillance and optimization, failure identification, workover design, chemical program management, and LOE stewardship for the assigned area.
Responsibilities
- Manage an assigned production area within the Delaware Basin, with an emphasis on wells producing on rod pump, gas lift, and ESP
- Work closely with a full asset team spanning field operations, reservoir engineering, finance, land, HSE, and regulatory groups
- Coordinate and manage field operations teams to optimize base production and reduce downtime
- Design, optimize, and troubleshoot artificial lift systems including rod pump, gas lift, ESP, jet pump, and plunger lift
- Manage and optimize chemical programs treating scale, corrosion, H₂S (hydrogen sulfide), and other production challenges
- Create AFEs and procedures for workovers, recompletions, and well maintenance operations
- Coordinate with wellsite supervisors and service providers to execute workover operations
- Lead regularly scheduled well reviews with field operations and reservoir engineers
- Analyze well failures to formulate and implement recommendations for optimization and run-time improvement
- Track and monitor LOE and capital spending to ensure compliance with budgets
- Hold P&L management responsibility for the asset
- Demonstrate Health, Safety & Environmental leadership
- Coordinate with field personnel to ensure ongoing optimization of assets
- Support ad hoc projects as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline, Petroleum preferred
- Recommended minimum of 8 years of production engineering experience
- Demonstrated work experience in artificial lift, production, workover operations, and project economics
- Experience utilizing production engineering industry software packages
- Proficiency with Spotfire, Aries, and RODSTAR (or equivalent), along with troubleshooting SCADA and production systems such as Elynx, Productioneer, and Greasebook
- Field management experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in sour service or H₂S-containing operations

You're comfortable managing field personnel and driving optimization work in a fast-paced environment, and you take ownership of the assets on your desk — from day-to-day surveillance to the P&L results they produce.
