Production Manager

Overview

Bonitz, Inc., founded in 1954, is an Employee-Owned Company operating as specialty trade commercial contractors servicing the construction industry. Bonitz designs and installs custom flooring, walls, ceilings, and cladding systems. We offer access, terrazzo, and other specialty flooring as well as floor care. Essential Duties

• Manage a team of 8-12 Project Managers and dozens of projects in the market.
• Responsible for the financial performance of each project.
• Able to plan, budget, oversee, and document all aspects of multiple projects.
• Recognize and mitigate all potential safety concerns on all active jobsites.
• Maintain high safety standards.

Job Responsibilities

• Pre-Construction:
• Develop and sustain strong relationships with general contractors, end-use customers, and internal team members across the company.
• Plans, coordinates, and oversees all tasks, critical dates, client and third-party interface and relations, as well as performance, quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Construction:
• Supports Project Manager team relationships with General Contractors (GC).
• Oversee field operations (manpower and installations) to guarantee the work is done per plans, per project specifications, and meeting completion schedules.
• Coverage of multiple installation crews and maintenance of job schedules.
• Assists in solving all varieties of project problems.
• Post-Construction:
• Verify quality of installation, project scope completion, and Customer satisfaction.

Education/Experience and Ideal Candidate Qualifications

• 8-10 years of Commercial Construction Project Management experience.
• Strong critical thinking skills, problem-solving skills, and a motivated self-starter.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Proficient math and analytical skills.
• The ability to work with initiative and independence, as well as in a team environment.
• Excellent leadership skills, providing professional development opportunities to staff, taking corrective action steps, and managing terminations.
• An attention to detail and accuracy.
• Comfortable and confident in utilizing the technology necessary in this role (Microsoft D365 ERP software, UKG HRIS software, and various other software systems).
• A willingness to evolve and continue learning to keep up with technology in the industry.
• A Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Safety Requirements

• Identify and correct conditions that affect employee safety.
• Work in partnership with the Bonitz Risk Management Team to ensure that all safety training and certifications are up to date or scheduled effectively.
• Stay compliant with all Bonitz safety policies to ensure a safe and efficient workplace.
• Knowledge of requirements for necessary equipment, tools, and training per job.
