Production Manager

We are a 28-year-old family-owned and operated business with a stable team—most employees have been with us for 5+ years. Our work environment is team-oriented, friendly, and low-stress; the owner hires “co-workers” rather than “employees.”

About the role

As Production Manager you will report directly to the owner and oversee all projects in our production schedule. You will schedule orders, order materials, manage production staff and workflows, and work alongside the team to meet deadlines. This is a full-time, fully onsite position with an 8-hour shift Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

• Manage production staff and schedule daily job production to prioritize workflow.
• Update job status and location in the MIS system.
• Quality-check jobs in progress to control waste and re-dos; complete Quality Assurance documents for all printed jobs.
• Operate digital commercial printers using Fiery Command Workstation; track waste, spoilage, usage, and inventory.
• Maintain Digital Printing Equipment logs and assist with required maintenance.
• Ensure service “clicks” are credited by the technician, including credit for poor-quality copies.
• Manage team calibration of color devices to maintain color consistency.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Detail-oriented with the ability to organize multiple activities and tasks concurrently.
• Ability to maximize profit through efficient use of time and equipment.
• Can perform basic bindery functions.
• Familiarity with Fiery Print Controller is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• No experience necessary—we train the right candidate.
• Digital printing and/or sign experience is preferred.
• Some management experience is preferred.
• Graphic design skills and customer service experience are pluses but not required.

Pay

$23.00 – $25.00 per hour.
