Job Summary
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Plans and performs work requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical, mechanical, robotic, hydraulic, and pneumatic principles of operation.
- Reads and interprets diagrams, drawings, specifications, and instructions to perform maintenance and repair work.
- Uses full range of measuring, gauging, analysis, machine and hand tools to perform maintenance work.
- Sets-up and tests production equipment under power according to company safety standards and OSHA requirements.
- Advises operators of standard operating procedures and requirements for working safely with production equipment.
- Communicates maintenance problems, results, corrective actions, and recommendations to the chain-of-command, and to the customer as needed.
- Maintains clean and safe working environment in line with company standards or policies.
- Works with other trades as part of a maintenance team – engineering, machinist, die maintenance, administrative personnel, etc.
- Performs other duties as assigned by chain-of-command.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or completion of high school equivalence exam required.
- Completion of formal apprenticeship training program to the satisfaction of DENSO management, or 2 years of industrial maintenance education, experience or related military experience with extensive knowledge of industrial maintenance as determined by the job interview and evaluation process.
- 2 years of industrial maintenance experience required.
Skills And Abilities
- Sufficient reading and writing ability to follow maintenance, safety, and quality instructions and compile and record maintenance data.
- Sufficient visual acuity (corrected) to read instructions, operate machines and tools, and visually inspect equipment, controls and components.
- Sufficient manual dexterity to operate production equipment, test equipment, tools, and to handle material and components properly.
- Sufficient analysis and planning skills to understand maintenance instructions, troubleshoot mechanical, electronic, robotic, hydraulic, and pneumatic operating systems and to plan work based on such information and analysis results.
- Statistical process control (SPC) experience.
- Programmable Logic Control (PLC) experience.
- Willingness to wear required safety equipment and follow safety rules and procedures.
