Production Maintenance Technician Role

  • Provide Support to Production Lines by Troubleshooting Failures and Making Necessary Repairs
  • Complete Assigned Work Orders and Preventative Maintenance Tasks Through SAP
  • Participate in Rebuilds and Overhauls on Production Line and Support Equipment
  • Aid in Parts Management by Ensuring Parts Are Checked Out of Stock and Communicating Any Deficiencies to the Parts Planner
  • Communicate Consistently with Fellow Maintenance Staff Through End of Shift Reports
  • Support the Swire Manufacturing Continuous Improvement (SMCI) Process by Participating in Established Routines with Production Operators and Following Up on Top Causes of Downtime
  • Maintain a Clean and Organized Workspace
  • Follow Established Safety, Quality, and Environmental Policies, Practices, and Programs
  • Operate with Technical Skill the SAP Computerized Maintenance Management System
  • Clean Tools, Parts, and Equipment After Line Rebuilds/Repairs/Maintenance
  • Install New Equipment as Necessary and Provide Technical Expertise to Train and Support Production
  • Operate and Monitor Equipment and Replenish Materials as Needed
  • Quality Reviews of Equipment Assigned to Maintain Safety and Performance Standards

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Degree/Certificate
  • Trade School Certification Preferred
  • 2+ Years of Maintenance Experience
  • Excellent Mechanical and Electrical Troubleshooting Skills
  • Ability to Read Schematics
  • Welding and Fabrication Experience
  • Experience Working with Allen Bradley and Siemens PLC Systems
  • Ability to Learn New Software and Interfaces Quickly
  • Strong Computer Skills
  • Carpentry, Electrical, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning), Plumbing, Welding, Fabrication, Docks and Doors, Security Systems
  • Knowledge of Manufacturing, Production Operators, and Industrial Technology Preferred
  • Ability to Work Weekends and Holidays as Directed by the Business
  • Ability to Lift 50 Pounds
