Production Maintenance Associate 2nd Shift

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair production machinery.
  • Ensure lockout/tag out procedures are followed.
  • Complete preventative maintenance orders on machinery.
  • Complete special Kaizen projects with limited supervision.
  • Manage spare parts inventory and improve stock level.
  • Maintain all maintenance areas per 5S and OSHA safety standards.
  • Promptly inform those persons responsible for corrective action when products or processes do not conform to requirements.
  • Evaluate the current production Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and create improvements at the production lines.
  • Train production associates or conduct training sessions to introduce new processes or changes to existing processes.
  • Determine ways to increase productivity, reduce costs in manufacturing/business and resolve production-related problems.
  • Prepare technical reports and presentations for management and other departments.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Prefer at least 3 to 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity of PLC ladder logic.
  • Experience with maintenance machinery operation such as lathe, milling, grinding, and welding machines.
  • Understanding of basic electrical systems/controls and hard wirings.
  • Knowledge and understanding of electric, pneumatic, and mechanical systems and diagrams.
  • Practical experience with manual, semi-manual and automated manufacturing machines.
  • Basic knowledge and practical experience with statistics and statistical process control methods.
  • Strong computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office products and AutoCAD.
  • Able to handle multiple projects/tasks simultaneously, stay organized and set priorities in a fast pace environment.
  • Able to spend extra hours with deadlines, time-sensitive projects, quality issues and high demanding projects such as during multiple trouble shooting projects.
  • Able to solve issues (quality, productivity, frequently stopping machines) by taking logical/theoretical approaches.
  • Able to find methods to work on and complete tasks in unfamiliar territories through research and self-teaching.
  • Willingness to continuously pursue productivity and reduce machine downtime introducing new technologies and methods.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) across all internal levels and Global Company sites, including sister plants and business partners.
  • Able to travel to domestic and international locations with advance notice.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time throughout the shift.
  • Able to occasionally move about outside/inside of production rooms, office machinery, etc.
  • Able to lift around 40 pounds.
  • Able to stand occasionally throughout the shift.
