Maintenance Technician 2nd shift

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Ability to maintain GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and food safety standards.
• Ability to work safely with programs such as lockout/tagout (LOTO).
• Equipment setup, adjustment, troubleshooting, performing preventive maintenance (PM) work, overhaul, and repair.
• Use of shop tools, including cutting, grinding, drill press, welding, and minimal machining.
• Perform work (if qualified) on electric motors and controls.
• Work with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to perform work orders, document work, and order parts.
• Ability to read and comprehend technical manuals and prints.
• Ability to perform duties outside and inside in varying conditions, including extreme heat, cold and wet, and/or humid conditions, etc.

Education And Experience

• A high school diploma is required.
• A technical college education or equivalent is preferred.
• Two years’ experience in a manufacturing-related field is preferred.
• The ability to understand and communicate effectively is required.
• The ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide is required.
• Support management decisions, talk positively, and encourage a happy environment is required.
• Be knowledgeable of and follow the safety procedures as outlined by Monogram Foods is required.
• Be knowledgeable of your department's safe food handling practices, HACCP, and quality control procedures is required.
• You must be able to speak, read and write in English is required.

Competencies And Skills

• Verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Bi-Lingual a plus- English/Spanish is preferred.

Physical Demands

• Must be able to work within temperature-controlled environments (Heat/Cold).
• Walk on slippery wet surfaces is required.
• Climb small ladders or platforms is required.
• Use small hand tools for the assembly of equipment is required.
• Hand/eye coordination is required.
• Handling (holding, grasping) is required.
• Seeing/depth perception is required.
• Lift 60 lbs. is required.
• Push/pull 500 lbs. is required.
• Walk/stand 100% of the shift is required.

Work Environment

• Stand on concrete is required.
• Ambient temperatures are required.
• Work alone is required.
• Personal Protective Equipment: Safety shoes as needed. Insulated gloves as needed. Safety knives as needed. are required.
