About the role
This is a long-term, onsite role in a manufacturing plant environment. The successful candidate will assist with shipping, operations, and technical disciplines of ongoing projects and operational targets. A recent graduate will gain experience in manufacturing principles, logistics, quality, and operational standards. The role may transition into a permanent position.
Responsibilities
- Provide department support by assisting in Production, Quality, or Shipping as needed.
- Apply engineering background to reduce waste and improve the mat-making process.
- Perform administrative tasks for the Plant Manager, including data entry, updating safety logs, and organizing shift schedules.
- Standardize procedures by writing simple instructions (SOPs) for the team.
- Track daily production numbers and report them to the Plant Manager.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
- Strong analytical and computer skills.
- Intermediate-level proficiency in MS Excel.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a team.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a manufacturing environment with critical thinking skills.
