Production Line Technician - 3rd Shift - A&M Cheese

Key Responsibilities
- Assist with equipment setup and production line preparation
- Open cheese cases and totes and prepare products for processing
- Remove packaging materials and cut cheese as required using hand knives and wire cutters
- Supply production lines with materials and move products using pallet jacks and hand trucks
- Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met
- Pack, box, label, weigh, and prepare products for shipment
- Stack finished goods on pallets and wrap pallet loads manually or with stretch-wrap equipment
- Operate cardboard balers and assist with waste removal
- Maintain a clean and organized production area
- Safeguard product and material quality
- Safeguard a safe and clean work environment
- Follow all safety procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet riders, and other material-handling equipment as needed
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Ability to work in a cool, damp production environment
- Ability to climb ladders when necessary
- Ability to assist with lifting items weighing more than 100 pounds as part of a team
- Experience operating forklifts or pallet riders is a plus
