Production Line Supervisor (Manufacturing)-Night Shift

Areas of Responsibility / Tasks

• Interviewing employees
• Reviewing schedules to plan, assign, and direct work for employees and equipment
• Generating and conducting yearly employee evaluations
• Rewarding and disciplining employees
• Reviewing and approving timesheets and PTO requests
• Addressing complaints and resolving problems
• Performing activities of workers supervised
• Ensuring accuracy and completeness of departmental activities and documents
• Inspecting products prior to packaging
• Other duties as assigned by Senior Management

Quality Management

• Follows all ISO requirements, including completing 'CAR' reports and submitting processing information for damaged, lost, or other issues
• Affirms all ISO documentation is current and adhered to
• Assists the quality department with necessary document revisions
• Investigates for CAR and performs all associated duties

Health, Safety, & Environmental Compliance

• Affords assistance with facility operation Clean Sweep compliance
• Maintains reports of product loss and environmental exposure
• Maintains reports of product and property damage
• Manages cleanliness of the department
• Maintains reports of LOTO forms, vehicle checks, and PIT checks
• Ensures all LOTO forms, vehicle checks, and PIT checks are performed and properly utilized

Training

• Performs and records training of all direct associates either directly or via designee
• Ensures proper development of all associates is being recorded or reported

Inventory Strategy (Replenishment)

• Manages warehouse optimization through movements and consolidation
• Requisitions containers and other supplies for delivery to workstations
• Performs package supply counts at intervals determined by the Operations Manager

Communication

• Keeps management abreast of significant issues or developments that impact quality, safety, health, environmental, operational, and inventory management
• Prepares and presents statistical information to the management team (including but not limited to Near-Miss, Audit Nonconformance, Elements of Risk, Departmental KPI’s, etc.)
• Enforces facility policies and goals
• Confers with administrative personnel and reviews activity and operating reports to determine changes in programs or operations required
• Maintains record of all inbound and outbound shipments
• Interfaces with other departments to ensure deadlines are achieved
• Recommends measures to improve production methods and equipment performance
