Production Line Operator
About the role
The Machine Operator position is within Prysmian, a global leader in energy and digital connections. This role is part of Channell, founded in 1922, specializing in outside plant infrastructure for various sectors including Telecommunications, Municipalities, Internet Service Providers, Wireless, Water, Power, and CATV.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain product quality based on established standards through visual and mechanical inspections.
- Safely operate equipment following all safety policies and procedures.
- Perform setups in accordance with established procedures and work orders.
- Load and unload equipment as needed.
- Follow written and verbal instructions, procedures, and work orders.
- Maintain and log all necessary information for traceability and quality control.
- Participate in cross-training activities.
- Maintain work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition.
- Perform other duties as required or directed.
Requirements
Applicants should possess a high school diploma or equivalent and have a minimum of one year of experience in a manufacturing or production environment. Knowledge of basic machinery operation and safety protocols is essential.
Qualifications
Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. Must also be able to perform tasks requiring repetitive motion, such as bending, lifting, and reaching.
Skills
Strong attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, and proficiency in using basic tools and machinery are required. Experience with similar roles is preferred but not mandatory.
