About the role
The Production Team Lead role at Spartronics involves leading a team of assemblers in daily operations, ensuring compliance with quality standards, and serving as a key liaison between departments.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of assemblers in daily operations involving in-process quality checks and final assembly.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards (AS9100, AS9102, J-STD-001, IPC-620).
- Support the full product lifecycle from engineering to sustaining engineering.
- Communicate with Quality, Manufacturing, Program Management, and customers to deliver high-quality products on time.
- Perform mechanical and/or electrical operations, assemblies, and repairs.
- Deploy sound inventory control methods and procedures.
- Handle, mix, and test hazardous chemicals while using personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all employees and visitors.
- Report any potential violations to management immediately.
- Supervise, coach, and oversee assembly personnel to meet quality and productivity goals.
- Plan, coordinate, and assign work based on production schedules, material availability, and resource capacity.
- Guide and support team members in interpreting schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and quality standards.
- Ensure accuracy in inspection and assembly documentation.
- Demonstrate strong time management skills to meet deadlines and manage shifting priorities.
- Be accountable for personnel performance and hold team members accountable to established standards and expectations.
Requirements
- Education: Associate’s degree preferred or 5+ years’ experience in inspection or assembly within an Aerospace or Defense manufacturing and/or EMS environment. HS Diploma required.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in a supervisory or lead role.
- Skills: Demonstrated ability to inspire and lead a team, read and comprehend written work instructions, proficient in computers, effective communication, addition, subtraction, fractions, decimals, reading and understanding schematics, wire diagrams, mechanical drawings, and problem-solving.
- Physical Requirements: Must maintain ESD Precautions Standards certification, must be able to lift up to 55 pounds, and must be able to work onsite in Plaistow, NH.
- Other: Must be a US Citizen, US Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee. Must maintain ITAR Regulations.
