Production Lead Soil Operator

About the role

Performs work as part of a team in an industrial laundry facility. Responsible for the safe, expeditious, and accurate handling of merchandise into and/or out of the laundry facility. The Team Lead ensures a high level of service to customers while maintaining overall profitability by assisting with the management of safety, productivity, accuracy, turnover, and training within the department.

Responsibilities

• Train new employees
• Assist Management with monitoring employee performance and determining appropriate corrective action
• Aid in resolving daily issues and escalate issues as required
• Provide guidance to the team based on Management direction
• Assist Management in coordinating employee work schedules and breaks
• Lead special projects as assigned
• Prepares appropriate numbers of daily slings or carts/carriers for the wash floor
• Verifies merchandise type and quantity on PUC card
• Segregates like items together in a sling
• Identifies counts, and totals ruin or damaged merchandise and records on the PUC card
• Maintains safe and clean work environment and observes best practices in all production activities
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Ability to understand all required training, written, and verbal instructions
• Working knowledge of basic math skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to meet attendance schedule
• High school degree or equivalent

Working Environment

• Work is performed in a warehouse setting and regularly exposed to outside weather conditions, extreme heat and cold conditions as well as dust and noise
• Work is based on a shift schedule and may include weekends
• Overtime required as needed

• Requires the ability to move, lift, carry, push, or pull product weighing up to 50 lbs

• Requires the use of hands for grasping and other manipulations
• Requires standing and walking for long periods of time
