Lead Production Operator

ICL Specialty Fertilizers operates a manufacturing plant in North Charleston, SC, producing controlled-release fertilizer brands Osmocote®, Agroblen®, and Agrocote®. The facility runs on a 24/6 basis with 12-hour shifts, including occasional overtime, weekends, and holiday coverage as needed. Local candidates only—relocation assistance is not available.

Responsibilities

• Operate three fertilizer coating lines from raw material to packaging and warehousing.
• Serve as the production leader to ensure coating and blending processes operate as intended.
• Safely perform all production tasks with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.
• Troubleshoot complex production environments and coordinate resources effectively.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment or related industry.
• Willingness and ability to work 12-hour day and night shifts, including overtime, weekends, and holiday coverage.
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task, stay productive, and work self-motivated in a fast-paced environment.
• Capability to climb stairs and ladders up to 30 feet and regularly move/lift up to 60 lbs.
• Adherence to PPE protocols, including safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face masks, and full hazmat suits with respirators when necessary.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship (individuals with temporary visas such as E, F-1, H-1, H-2, L-1, B, J, or TN are not eligible).

Skills

• Experience with process control and production overview.
• Control room experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and adaptability in complex production environments.
