ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Affords assistance to the supervisor in directing daily activities to promote and maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work area.
  • Troubleshoots equipment and performs appropriate machine repairs and adjustments.
  • Coordinates activities between various shifts to ensure a smooth transition of duties.
  • Performs quality inspections on extrusion and thermoforming and printing operations.
  • Aids in scheduling employees and monitors production output.
  • Reviews machine output against production demands and seeks methods to enhance productivity.
  • Ensures completeness of SPC data and production reports.
  • Fulfills plant safe housekeeping guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Reviews Job Hazard Analysis with employees upon hire, new lines, and annually.
  • Maintains compliance with SQF / HACCP requirements as per the written “Food Safety & Quality Policy.”
  • Monitors departmental personnel for safe setup, operation, and maintenance of machinery.

Experience/Qualifications Requirements

  • The successful candidate should possess 3 years of forming and printing experience, preferably in a polystyrene manufacturing facility, and demonstrate strong leadership experience.
