About the role

The Production Lead at Nucor Towers & Structures (NTS) Hazleton is a key member of the leadership team, focusing on fostering a positive and productive work environment. Reporting to the Supervisor, this role oversees production operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to quality standards. Additionally, the Production Lead communicates essential production information to other departments and team members.

Responsibilities

• Act as a positive member of the leadership team at NTS Hazleton
• Develop and train teammates within the company culture
• Maintain proper machine loading to ensure smooth product flow through the department
• Oversee and train teammates on the production line
• Communicate production-related information to other departments and team members
• Establish and maintain efficiency and quality on the production line
• Fill in for other positions on the line as needed
• Communicate with other departments and team members as it relates to production
• Ensure adherence to safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards

Requirements

• Competent with Microsoft Office software programs
• Minimum 6 months' experience in steel manufacturing
• Ability to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Operations processes and procedures preferred
• Previous leadership experience preferred
